Quick Trip on 24 May 2010

We went to the mountain property on Sunday mainly to decide on a color for the gutters.  Mom and Mr. Ray went with us and we haad a great time.  We ate lunch in the coffe shop in Galax which was fun.  After we got to the property, we were very glad we went because the builders had switched the vanities in the down stairs bathrooms.  It seemed unblievable that they could make that mistake, but they did and it was good that we saw it.  They also overlooked the globes we had left for the lights so they'll have to change them as well.  The project is getting close to be completed on the inside.  Tim is hoping to be done with the inside this week.  There is probably at least another week on the outside.  We're getting anxious and somewhat impatient, but we want it done right so we need to give them the time they need.  It seems like the closer we get the more little issues that come up, but I guess that is to be expected.  Although the issues are stressful, it's been fun and we're enjoying the journey.  Below are pictures.  I hope you enjoy them.

Looks really great, Dad. We're very excited about going up and seeing it in person. Anna was very interested in looking at these pictures. Her comments included, "Where are the bedrooms?" and "I want to sleep in the yellow room." I hope it works out that the yellow room is available because somehow she knows there is one and thinks it is where she wants to sleep.

Between myself and my partner we've owned and operated a chimney for years that we can rely on for worm fires during winter. But, in recent years it's been falling apart. Why? A Seattle chimney sweep firm said they discovered that the chimney's masonry has not been sealed as well as water is now getting into the house. Are these claims the case? Has anybody heard of these guys? Your help is much appreciated. The Mad Hatter Chimney Sweep 1000 4th Avenue, Seattle, WA 98104 - (206) 274-6409
